C³Equalz X TKC Banana Split Switches
Arguably the most popular linear switch in keyboard history, and for good reason! Banana Split switches are linear switches are buttery smooth with a 62g spring, nylon and polycarbonate blended housing, and POM stem.
- Sold in units of 10, 70, 90 and 110 switches. Please note 10 unit switches are not offered in plastic cases and are sold in bags.
About the Switches
- Linear switch with 62g spring. These have a smooth keypress with no tactile bump.
- Nylon and polycarbonate blended housing, with POM (polyoxymethylene) stem.
- PCB mount.
- Pre-lubed in factory – very light application. You can lube these switches on top of this.
- Packaged in a new hard plastic case with a sticker snap lid. Easily reusable and perfect for holding spare switches.
- Designed by C³Equalz and manufactured by JWK.
Note: These were previously sold by other vendors under the working development name 'Macho.' These are not a JWK recolor; they use a proprietary C³Equalz housing mold.
Switches 101
A keyboard switch is the little component that sits underneath the keycap and connects to the keyboard PCB. On a mechanical keyboard, every key has its own switch.
How many switches do I need?
For common sizes, here are some estimates (these can vary slightly by keyboard model):
- Full-size (100%): 104
- TKL (Tenkeyless): 87
- 75%: 81

- 65%: 68
- Our Portico Keyboard uses 67 switches.
- 60%: 61
We recommend buying enough to fill your board, with some extra to spare.
