About the Switches

  • Linear switch with 62g spring. These have a smooth keypress with no tactile bump.
  • Nylon and polycarbonate blended housing, with POM (polyoxymethylene) stem.
  • PCB mount.
  • Pre-lubed in factory – very light application. You can lube these switches on top of this.
  • Packaged in plastic tubs with sticker, like Tangerine and Kiwi switch containers.
  • Designed by C³Equalz and manufactured by JWK.

Note: These were previously sold by other vendors under the working development name 'Macho.' These are not a JWK recolor; they use a proprietary C³Equalz housing mold.

    Switches 101

A keyboard switch is the little component that sits underneath the keycap and connects to the keyboard PCB. On a mechanical keyboard, every key has its own switch.

How many switches do I need?

For common sizes, here are some estimates (these can vary slightly by keyboard model):

    • Full-size (100%): 104
    • TKL (Tenkeyless): 87
    • 75%: 84
    • 65%: 68
    • 60%: 61

We recommend buying enough to fill your board, with some extra to spare.
